Construction Update September 2026
September brought progress above and below ground at the new West Parish Water Treatment Plant construction site, as crews cleared demolition debris, continued large-diameter pipe work, and began preparing for piping beneath the new building.
Clearing the way
Crews hauled away the final debris from the demolition of Regulator House 3, collecting removed metal for recycling.

Progress underground
Work continued on the 60- and 72-inch raw water transmission pipes, including checks to confirm their alignment and elevation before concrete encasement. These steps prepare the piping to be covered as work moves toward backfilling and restoring the surrounding area.

Preparing for the new building
Crews also removed old underground piping and began excavating for a new 30-inch backwash supply line beneath the future building. Workers checked trench elevations and prepared sections for concrete placement.
